Resort collection photoshoot moodboard inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's, Vertigo.

Keywords: Duality, illusion, obsession, transformation

Inspired by the staircase in The Hotel Bristol Palace (Genoa), which was the original inspiration for Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo, as the basis for creating a sense of illusion and shifting viewpoints as a visual theme throughout the shoot.

Playing with heights, angles and perspectives while leaning into the brutalist architecture to contrast with the elegance and sharp tailoring of the collection to create images that feel slightly unexpected without being over-styled.

The brutalist backdrop juxtaposes the collection’s sharp tailoring to make the elegant silhouettes stand out. Models H&MU give reference to 50s but with slightly absurd details to seem 'odd'.
